Combat Armored Vehicles „Miloš“ and „Lazar 3“ Used During the „Platinum Wolf“ International Exercise
The “Platinum Wolf 24” international tactical exercise, which gathered members of the Serbian Armed Forces (SAF) and members of the armies of eight other countries, has been successfully concluded today at the “Borovac” training ground near Bujanovac.
The Minister of Defense Bratislav Gašić, Chief of General Staff SAF General Milan Mojsilović, Director of the Joint Staff at the Ohio National Guard Brig. Gen. Jeff Watkins, as well as members of diplomatic corps, have attended the final exercise activities.
The members of the „Platinum Wolf 24“ have been practicing tactics, techniques and procedures for peacekeeping operations, with particular emphasis on the use of non-lethal weapons.
Used during the international exercise were the 8x8 combat armored vehicles „Lazar 3“ and 4x4 vehicles „Miloš“, from the range of products of Jugoimport-SDPR, which proved very reliable in various tactical mission tasks.
„Lazar 3“ vehicles were first used in a convoy, and then to breach a blockade of a populated area, while „Miloš“ took part in the braking of a motorized patrol in the populated area.
The targets were fired at by use of personal armaments deployed through the open shafts in the front part of the „Miloš“ and „Lazar 3“ vehicles.
Later on, the crew disembarked through the rear landing ramp, demonstrating a usage of the ramp designed to meet various requirements of complex operations.
Members of the armed forces of the United States of America, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Great Britain, Italy, Hungary, Romania, North Macedonia, Slovenia and Serbia have participated in the “Platinum Wolf 24” exercise. This year, Bulgaria, Greece, and Germany have joined in as observers.
