Training in Use of Milos Combat Vehicles in Peacekeeping Operations
The training of members of the Serbian Armed Forces in the use of combat armored vehicles, Milos, in peacekeeping operations is underway at Borovac training ground and at Base "South" near Bujanovac.
In the future, Milos vehicles will be used by the Serbian Armed Forces contingent during the implementation of tasks in the United Nations peacekeeping operation in Lebanon.
In order to fully master this modern combat vehicle, officers and soldiers undergo theoretical and practical forms of training in tutorial rooms and on training ground.
Now they are acquiring knowledge and skills for overcoming obstacles and safely driving vehicles in rugged terrain, exploitation, maintenance and elimination of possible malfunctions, as well as for handling weapons and performing fire and tactical tasks in the field.
The multi-purpose armored combat vehicle – Milos is intended for various combat tasks in offensive and defensive operations. It has strong ballistic and anti-mine protection. It is equipped with a remote controlled weapon station with a 12.7 mm machine gun and can be operated by day and night, making it a modern and effective combat system.
