Training of Military Police Unit Members on armoured combat vehicles “Milos”
Members of the 5th MP Battalion have conducted live fire and tactical training this week at the “Oresac” firing range.
The training involved collective exercises using 4x4 armoured combat vehicles “Milos” designed to provide fire support during anti-terrorism and counter-insurgency operations, all with the aim to train the Unit members for the combat use of these vehicles, both independently and in coordination with other defense forces.
The vehicles are equipped with strong ballistic and anti-mine protection and feature a remotely controlled weapon station with a 12.7 mm machine gun.
The introduction of this vehicles into operational use has improved the ability of maneuver, firepower, the ability to conduct offensive actions on the move and the protection of Military Police personnel.
