International Defense Exhibition - „IDEX 2017“, Abu Dhabi, UAE

From 19-23 February 2017, the 13th international defense exhibition „IDEX 2017" was held in Abu Dhabi under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

More than 1.235 companies from 57 countries took place in the trade show.

As the integrator of the Serbian defense industry, Јugoimport-SDPR J. P. had a two-storey 371 m² stand exhibiting the products of Serbian defense companies: rifles, machineguns, mortars, howitzers, ballistic missiles, anti-tank projectiles, armored fighting vehicles and the unmanned helicopter.

Jugoimport-SDPR J. P. presented for the first time its multi-purpose 4x4 armored vehicle „Мilos", equipped with a remote controlled weapon station (RCWS) armed with the 12.7 mm machinegun and six 82 mm smoke pots, the unmanned attack reconnaissance helicopter „Strsljen", the cal. 400 „Sumadija" ballistic missile with the trajectory correction system and a range of 300 km, and cal. 122 mm „Grad 2000" rocket with a range of 52 km.

At the Abu Dhabi show, Jugoimport-SDPR J. P. presented two 8x8 multi-role armored vehicles „Lazar 3", one with the 30 mm gun turret, 30 mm automatic grenade launcher and 7.62 mm machine gun, and the other with the remote controled weapon station (RCWS) with the 12.7 mm machine gun. The self-propelled 155mm NORA-B/52 gun-howitzer was also presented.

The representatives of Jugoimport-SDPR J. P. were accompanied by the representatives of a number of Serbian defense companies: „Sloboda", „Prva petoletka", „Zastava oruzje", „Кrusik", „Prva iskra", „Milan Blagojevic", „Senzor Infiz", „EDEPRO" and others.
During the exhibition, we had numerous successful meetings and presentations. Jugoimport-SDPR's stand was visited by many businessmen and foreign delegations. Our most eminent guests were Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the Minister of Defense of Sudan, Chief of General Staff of Oman, defense industry representatives of India, Indonesia, Kenya and Bangladesh.
