8th Defense Exhibition „PARTNER 2017"
In Belgrade Fair Hall 4, after the video on the new products of the Serbian defense industry, PARTNER 2017 was officially opened by President Aleksandar Vučić.
The ceremony took place in the presence of Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, Minister of Defense Zoran Đorđević, Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Ljubiša Diković, Director of Jugoimport-SDPR J.P. Jugoslav Petković, Deputy Director of Jugoimport-SDPR J.P. Branislav Prostran, representatives of the diplomatic corps in the Republic of Serbia high-ranking officials.
The new products presented at the Exhibition include:
- „Aleksandar" 155 mm self-propelled system;
- Sumadia Launcher with a range of up to 285 km;
- Multiple rocket launcher 107 mm;
- New 120 mm mortar shell, rocket-assisted;
- Mini-guided bombs etc.
A total of 128 exhibitors – 91 from Serbia and 37 from other countries - presented their products. The foreign manufacturers included those from China, India, France, Austria, Switzerland, Finland, Sweden, Germany, Italy, USA, Denmark, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Czech Republic, Ireland and Belarus.
Media accreditation was granted to 78 companies for this prestigious event, out of which 22 were from the countries around the world.
A special importance was attached to this year's PARTNER as a number of foreign delegations had come to visit the exhibition in order to sign supply contracts for their armed forces.
The purpose of the event was to present armaments and defense equipment – complex artillery and missile systems, modern small arms and ammunition, armored fighting vehicles, electronic equipment, light aircraft, new radar, various simulators, ballistic protection, patrol boats and other defense products.
